This very interesting original Danish military surplus item was used when constructing individual fighting positions and/or small bunkers.

This would be a great item to have in your survival kit or bugout bag. This can also be adapted to use in the winter for constructing snow shelters or even used by hunters, paintball/airsoft enthusiasts, or military reenacting. 

The package is approximately 9"x9"x4" and includes the following items:

1- Instruction card (written in Danish)

1- Tarp 8ft, 10in x 4ft, 11in

6- Tarp Anchors

1- Anchor rope

Basic instructions: Start by digging a hole 2 meters long, .5 meter wide, and 1.2 meters deep. Place the 6 anchors by digging holes of approximate width and depth of a entrenching tool / shovel. They must slope slightly inwards in the pulling direction of the rope. Then place the anchor tarp strips in the hole and cover about half full with dirt. Pack tightly, continue filling and packing until close to the top. Pull the other tab over to meet the ends then fill and pack the rest of the dirt as shown on the picture. Next, lace the rope between the anchors as shown in the diagram starting with the end of the hole. The rope will be double at the opening. Place the tarp over the rope, place dirt over the edges to keep it in place and continue covering the rest of the tarp.
